Industrias Pesqueras: Control Regulation review process is one in which all parties “play an important role”

Summarising the Coalition’s recent event on Remote Electronic Monitoring (REM), which brought together representatives from government, industry and civil society, Industrious Pesqueras presents a comprehensive overview of the Coalition’s work to ensure transparent fisheries and traceable seafood supply chains in the EU.


Concrete outcomes the Coalition is working towards from the revision of the Control Regulation include strengthening monitoring of vessels (using REM technology), the obligation to keep fishing logs, improved transparency of information provided by Member States, and alignment of sanctioning regimes.
